A community-centred arbitration-based talk show where individuals anonymously bring domestic and personal issues to the table and entreat members of the community to share social, cultural and religious insights and advice; to bring about a fair, just and equitable resolution to the issue at hand.

CHOSAN LEN DO MOM

TUESDAY, 10PM

A popular participatory show that seeks to preserve our socio-cultural heritage and promote sustainable civic-driven national development by reflecting on Gambia’s social, economic and cultural history within the context of its glory days.

CLASSICS IN CONTEXT

MONDAY, 7PM || FRIDAY, 9PM

A programme that demystifies and explores the origins of Classical Music. Designed to reinvigorate and thrill both Classical Music ‘Aficionados’ and the ‘uninitiated’ with the compositions of Beethoven, Bach, Mozart and more.

WEDNESDAY, 4PM || SATURDAY, 8PM

Focusses on the promotion of sustainable artisanal / skilled employment. Covers Agriculture, Carpentry, Electrical Installation and Plumbing. Listeners are treated to occasional question and answer sessions with Mr Ebrima Cole (SWE GAM’s CEO) where he answers questions on Solar Power, Electrical installation, Domestic Plumbing and Commercial & Subsistence Agriculture raised by followers of the programme across the Gambia.

DIFFERENTLY ABLED PERSONS ADVOCACY PROGRAMME

SUNDAY, 6PM || WEDNESDAY, 6PM

A programme produced in collaboration with the Gambia Federation of the Disabled (GFD). The primary objectives of the programme are to: 1. Provide a public platform for persons with disability to articulate their issues, hopes and aspirations & 2. Hold Lawmakers and Policymakers publicly accountable for the Disability Bill and create a conducive environment for their general welfare.

FRENCH PROGRAMME FOR SCHOOLS

SATURDAY, 12.30PM

An educative programme that seeks to promote French literacy among Gambian children. Through LIVE and recorded interactions with french teachers and students, the programme highlights, monitors and tracks the achievements and abilities of French class students from various schools.

A programme that upholds the rich heritage of Gambia’s oral tradition / oral lore through Wolof storytelling. It encourages the active participation of listeners in identifying the moral and wisdom of the story / fable.

LEARNING BY EAR - DW DRAMA

A variety of popular Drama series written by African Authors and produced specifically for African youths. These series are created in Africa, set in the African context, feature relatable African actors and use the power of drama to address social, economic and political issues that affect the youth of Africa.

Captures the exploits of Gambia’s sporting legends. Features weekly interviews with veteran athletes, sports administrators, referees, commentators and passionate fans of all sporting disciplines. Also strives to facilitate the transfer of intergenerational wisdom.
